It applies to brands, companies, and experts who use AnyPresse ("Brands"), to journalists, podcasters, creators, and other media professionals ("Media Members"), and to website visitors.

Information from public sources (Media Members)

  • To power our Match Engine, we collect professional information about Media Members from publicly available sources, such as published articles and bylines, outlet websites, podcast listings, and public professional social media profiles. This may include name, outlet, beat, published work, and publicly listed professional contact details. We do not collect sensitive personal information about Media Members.

3. AI and automated matching

Our Match Engine uses automated and AI-assisted tools to analyze a Brand's story and rank Media Members by relevance, and to help draft pitches. We may also use AI-powered tools to transcribe and summarize consultation calls. To do this, we may send story details, call recordings or transcripts, and Media Member professional information to our AI service providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. These providers are contractually prohibited from using our data to train their general AI models. A member of our PR team reviews matches and pitches before any outreach. We do not use automated processing to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Call recording consent. We only record or transcribe calls after telling participants at the start of the call. If you do not want a call recorded or transcribed, tell us before the call begins and we will take notes instead. Our legal basis for recording under GDPR is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. How we share information

  • With Media Members: we share a Brand's pitch and materials only with outlets the Brand has approved. When a Media Member confirms interest, we share the Brand's contact details so they can connect directly.
  • With Brands: we show Brands the names, outlets, beats, and match reasons for Media Members we recommend. We share a Media Member's contact details with a Brand only when the Media Member has confirmed interest or posted a request the Brand is responding to.
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting and infrastructure), OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google (AI services), and email delivery and analytics service providers. They may only use data to provide services to us.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or enforce our Terms.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. International transfers

AnyPresse is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or rely on providers certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable. Contact us for more information.

6. How long we keep information

  • Accounts and profiles: while your account is active, and for up to 12 months after deletion to resolve disputes, unless you ask us to delete sooner.
  • VIP and billing records: as long as needed to provide the Services and for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
  • Call recordings and transcripts: up to 12 months after the call, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Media Member information from public sources: while it remains relevant and accurate for matching, reviewed at least annually; deleted promptly if a Media Member objects.
  • Usage data: up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the Services, such as keeping you signed in and securing your account. We may also use analytics and performance cookies, provided by us or by third-party service providers, to understand how the Services are used and improve them. Where the law requires it, including in the EEA and UK, we ask for your consent before setting cookies that are not strictly necessary, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without essential cookies. We will update this section if we add advertising cookies.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, the Services do not currently respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where required by law. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
